Too old to pull the time

I know most of us have heard the saying "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime" I fully agree with that, but can we really say that the time fits the crime when a person isn't caught or their crimes aren't reported until their real old. I think by that time, what real justice has been served, no matter what sentence they are given, they might live long enough to serve maybe 1\4 of their time, if that. There are two cases that are brought to my mind, that is those from Hitler's army and Bill Cosby Some of the men from Hitler's army never went on trial until they were in their 90's, there was one that even died before he was sentenced. Bill Cosby was 80 years old when he was found guilty and given 3, ten year sentences in which he's likely to serve concurrently. So were is the real justice for the victims at then, when it comes to cases like these. In both cases, just think about it, these men lived their young lives as they please, most likely not giving a thought to what they did. While many victims of their actions were suffering in silence, they were going about their daily lives.
