Hello everyone. Here is another project we fulfilled for the school. We bought additional musical instruments for the school to use. Every year, every level will ise one instrument for the whole year so they will have some mastery of the instruments. We bought 15 additional medium lire, 5 snare drums and 5 bass drums. Since my daughter is in grade 6, she will not be using any musical instruments. They will be having voice lessons in their music class. Do you playany musical instruments?

That is a great idea that the children stick to one instrument for 12 months. I used to play the piano and we both played in brass bands.

I cannot play any instruments. I was pretty good at the recorder but that's as far as I went. Is the instrument in the photo a lire?

@rakski I have never heard of a lire nor saw the instrument in the front of the photo so I assumed that must be what it was.

Your PTA must have accumulated a great amount of money that you're able to buy that number of musical instruments.

@rakski Since I didn't have such opportunity. I diverted my attention to singing and joined the choir.

It is a good idea to teach one instrument per year. We never learnt to play instruments.

@rakski Not only, they may even discover that they like an instrument that they did not even imagine to like.

Yes, it is good so the student will have interest in music and later on can pursue to learn more if she/he likes. Same here. I never had those chance before.

A very interesting project, the students will appreciate it. When I went to school, we learnt to play flute in the music classes. Besides, I took some lessons to play the classic guitar.
