Not a leaf was moving!

It's been weird weather at nights this week. I go for a walk sometimes at 7 pm and the weather is quiet and still. No breeze at all and not a leaf was moving. Walking is not pleasant as the air seems to be laden with dust that doesn't settle down and I was sweating easily.
Have you ever experience weather with not even a bit of a breeze?

I have experienced weather like that in November. It is unusual not to have the wind blowing in the autumn months, but the last few years here there have been times when there wasn't a breeze in October or November. Sometimes the frost doesn't come until December and the leaves on the trees are still green.
