Something inspired by an old post

I was reading a post that someone had commented on that was fairly old. It spoke about the Tanka form (syllable count 5-7-5-7-7) of poetry, which I had forgotten about. I thought I'd give one a try again. From what I saw on the last post I wrote with this style, there is no rhyme required. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Sometimes I don't feel Like I want to do a thing At least my body Does not feel like anything Though my mind may be willing. © Stacey Uffelman 9-9-18

@xstitcher A tanka is a variation on the haiku, with two additional lines added on - great example of one here

I don't think I've heard of the tanka form of poetry.I have heard of haiku however.
