At Home in Packers Country

Okay, I haven't talked about it yet today, but if you saw Sunday Night Football, you know it was a great game. I really thought the Bears were going to shut out the Pack with a halftime score of 17-0, and Aaron Rodgers carted off the field on the cart after having a hefty Bear land on his left leg. However, he came back to start the second half and we won the game in the last two minutes 24-23. I was doing some armchair quarterbacking and I think they listened to me because the win happened just the way I told them to.
That was my great and fantastic news as of 10:30 last night. I didn't expect to go to the pool this morning with going to bed so late, however, I got up at 5, two hours later than I usually get up, and got ready to leave and was out the door by quarter after and in the pool before 5:30.
It was what happened when I opened my e-mails this morning that changed my entire day and put the Packers win into second place of importance. If you haven't read On Top of the World, let me recap what happened.
I got an e-mail from the editor I had lunch with last Wednesday. It was in response to an e-mail I sent her expressing my gratitude for checking over the first chapter, and wishing I could work with her. She sent me an offer I couldn't turn down. However, I had to do some serious thinking about it first. I looked at the state of my finances and then called my friend who was with me at lunch last week as well and talked to her about the prospect of working with her to publish Thread of Evidence. Half an hour later, I sent another reply to her telling her it was a go. I sent her the manuscript, and she said she would let me know by the end of the day. I'm still waiting for that e-mail. I hope that waiting this long means it's a solid affirmative. I'll be signing a five-year contract with her. She will do the editing, publishing, and marketing. And the best news, if the e-mail is positive, is my books will be on bookshelves. Not just available on Amazon.
So, I'm really hoping for some positive news before I go to bed tonight, or I will get it tomorrow when I get back from the pool and open my e-mails.
My problem today, is what do I do now? I didn't know if I should work on Thread of Evidence or something else. What I did was to have a chat with management, who loves to hear from me, literally. They are always happy when I walk into the office. They were happy for me today too. I did work on New Horizons for a little bit and watched a movie.
Someone here recommended In-Lawfully Yours. Awesome movie. Whoever recommended it, thank you.
Right now, I'm an hour from going to bed. The notifications were finished when I started this post, and I'm also finished with my celebration dinner - rib eye steak and broccoli. I forgot I had the steak in the freezer until I found it this morning and decided today was worthy of a celebration meal.
That's my news from Packers country. How is your news today? Did your team win their games yesterday, or are they playing tonight? Thanks for reading.
