I was talking to my daughter and missed a story on tv I was waiting for. "Oh, darn!" Then I realized I have a DVR. So I just rewound the news back to the beginning of the story and was able to see it in it's entirety. I do love technology.
Such a little thing I know but, when you are house bound those things mean a lot.
You older folks-- Have you had a similar situation recently? Where you had a situation that new technology made possible? You wouldn't have been able to do it a few years ago.

I have slingtv, and while I can record things, it's not exactly a DVR. I can't pause live t.v.
I can fast forward through anything I've recorded though.
Meh, it works for me atleast.

@ScribbledAdNauseum .......I am saving up a few episodes of AHS before I watch it. Hope it is good this time.

@celticeagle Exactly. I like it well enough. I may keep it for more than the several months that I usually do.
This is.. or will be.. the second year I've had it. I usually keep it long enough to watch AHS.

I work on the PC every day and if it were not for the Internet I would be a very lonely person. I am not housebound but I do live alone with my cat Sid and when I am not going out then I appreciated being able to contact everyone online.

Technology is good to see classic television shows that the Lake Charles market does not carry.
