New flute students!

If you started an instrument when you were a kid (or adult), do you remember how excited you were? My fifth graders are so excited. I have three students who will start on Thursday and every time they see me they mention it.
I remember my first flute lesson being so excited to even touch the instrument and get a sound out of it! Of course in a few months that turned into the realization that it was hard work playing an instrument, but I loved it! Some students get quickly tired of learning the basics and give up, but the ones that persist are the ones who enjoy it later on!

,,, still remember how eager i was to learn an instrument... Flute is my first instrument... it has a soothing sound...

Flute is the instrument I teach most, but I also play pipe organ and piano.

I can`t remember since I don`t have any talent with instruments. That`s why I love to sing than learning instruments

Your voice is the original instrument that God made! Humans just try to imitate it in other kinds of instruments.

I am so excited the first time I'm learning guitar. This is the only musical instrument I can play.
