I work part-time at a University library - just one evening a week, term-time only. My job is Duty Officer for the evening session, which means that I'm the most senior person in the building for those 4 hours.
Monday was the first evening back since the end of the Summer Term in late May, so that means there was plenty of time to forget everything in the meantime! Fortunately most of it came flooding back, and this week there were only the first year students to worry about - the real fun starts next week!

Back to school has started here in Hawaii too. Soon it'll be Halloween a big thing at the Malls and shopping centers where it's safer for children. When I was growing up it began with weird and hazardous things people were passing out. Now I'm a Senior Citizen and glad that the shopping malls and centers have stepped up to join the fun and made it safer for children at Halloween here on Oahu.

I've worked in libraries as a professional librarian for more than 40 years, and I don't think I'd have done so if the work had not been great fun along the way! The enjoyment comes from solving problems for people and knowing that you've helped them find what they want. There aren't too many serious faces!

You just might be giving me good luck! I handed in a resume to the local library 3 weeks ago!
