One Phone Call and an Offer

It is my habit before not to answer any call when only number is appearing on my phone screen. At least, the person could send me a text message first, introduce himself and inform that he will be calling later.
Since I’m starting to be considerate, I’ll answered one phone call from an unfamiliar voice which later introduced herself a representative from one of the network provider here in my country which is the Philippines.
She then introduced the network’s new product and it’s a bit promising but confusing.
After the explanation on how the systems work, she then asked my full name so that we can continue the process of registration which I’m skeptical.
I’m not revealing my identity, NEVER!
At this time, it’s better to be aware of the many scammers luring their baits for potential victims than regretting later.
According to the caller, the network is introducing its latest offering to their subscribers where you just load your cell phone for 15Php/week or about 30 cents in USD(no more activation, it’s a direct subscription) to access medical practitioners throughout the country and ask questions or concerns at times during when you can’t visit them in their clinics especially at night. She said they have large pool of such practitioners which you could ask anytime you want as long as you were subscribed.
That’s sounds good, right? Imagine, you no longer visit clinics and could do the consultation in a very minimal amount?
I’m unconvinced so I asked several questions about the possibility and why the cheap amount when you’re charge in standard pricing at their clinics. She said that’s the very advantage so she repeated the descriptions and asked me again my full name to continue the process of registration which I reply back to think it first.
“Thank you”
The words from the other line and that’s the end of the conversation.
A random call it was.
Are you receiving unusual offer from any sales representatives?
How do you deal with them?

I shut them off because I already had another subscription last year.

I never had encountered that kind of a product they are offering it looks good but the fees are somewhat doubtful and all. But I do receive those that call offering credit cards that at times very deceiving offering that they are making free annual fee but only on the 1st year. If you are not keen on details you will take the bait so I always tell them that I would think about it and never call them back again. There are those that really follow you up and that is the time I ignore their calls anymore.

@ZedSmart Sometimes the offer can be tempting enough to hear him out. Like when I receive a call from BDO and says I was approved for a Gold Credit card and will be receiving one soon. I hear it out and said that the card is on its way to my home. It is not yet activated so I can still decide if I activate it or not. I received the card. It is nice looking card and they gave me a Visa and a Mastercard one. I tried activating the Mastercard one hopefully I would not get tempted to use it soon.

@ZedSmart sometimes it is also good to attend to these calls, because we can report them to NTC so the sim number will be blocked or investigated by the authorities.
