There was a video about a snatcher being dragged out by the mob.
But he snatched the woman's phone and tried to escape into the public jeepney but was seen by the crowd.
I feel bad for the guy, at first.But then, how many people had been snatched and also killed by it. If they didn't do nothing and just call the cops, he would have escape and tries to do it again.
Not the first time though the crowd did this when ever they witness a crime.

I forgot and apologize the video that I found was not translated @lookatdesktop but the scenes were there and some people were trying to stop the fight.

I read on Facebook that notorious thief from here was caught somewhere in Iloilo for stealing again. Most of the people he steals are young skateboards fanatic. He was notorious because he was wanted here, in Cebu and not caught in Iloilo.
All the people who victimizes by him file a case.

A lot of that goes on here also but no one usually bothers to try and stop them.
I think if they would be sent to jail it might make them think twice about doing it again.

I also watched the video in facebook, I also pity the snatcher being beaten badly by angry people. Well, that's the prize of living in cruelness, he paid for his crime.

I think that is legal and understandable to get beaten by a mob. I think you can invoke citizen's arrest when you are caught in the act of committing the crime. you cannot control the reaction of the crowd because the people are really hate to see criminals caught in the act.
