Packers vs. Bills and Other News

It's a great day in the NFL today. From what I heard from the announcers today, the referees are playing it safe and not calling any roughing the passer penalties around the league. So that was a good thing, even though it could have easily been called at least once in today's game against the Buffalo Bills. I think the refs are re-evaluating that particular rule after the uproar in last weeks games, where I understand from pre-game, it wasn't just the Packers the call was made but on other players as well.
As for penalties in today's game. There were four penalties in the entire game, two for each team, and they were deserved.
As for today's game, the Packers played at home in Lambeau Field, and I don't remember the statistics, but it's been a long time since the last time a game was lost at home, and the team that beat us was Minnesota. Well, we continue the trend for wins at home. Much to the dissatisfaction of one of the pregame hosts who picked the Bills to win. They didn't do so well in today's game. Where the Buffalo Bills beat Minnesota last week 26-6, The Pack beat the Bills 22-0. Yes, we shut them out. It was a good game for the home crowd. I'm sorry the Bills didn't get a score on the board, but they didn't even get close enough to try for a field goal. They do have a young team, compared to the mature older players Green Bay has, so no doubt those players will gain experience as they continue in the NFL.
In other news, today being Sunday, there was church this morning. And the saddest news I heard in a long time. A woman, I've come to regard as a good friend came to church this morning with her goddaughter, minus her husband. When I asked about him, she burst out crying. He went home yesterday morning, and she's not taking it well. She's going to be grieving for a long time. They've known each other since high school. She said she was awake early yesterday morning and went to ask a snarky question of him, only to find he was gone. She said there won't be a funeral. He will be cremated and she will take his ashes to Arizona to be spread in the same place as his parents' ashes are. I was in shock this morning when she told me. He was such a nice guy. He did have health issues, but nobody expected he would go so quickly. He was young. His son will be coming tomorrow to take care of everything.
So, those of you who pray, lift up Tony. She's going to need a lot of strength in the coming days, weeks, months. I'm tearing up, just thinking about her.
A good thing about today, at church, was my list for Small Groups, which start this week. I will have a full house of at least 9 people. I'm excited about the study. I just finished watching the last two videos for the Battle Plan for Prayer study group study. I'm praying for God to give me the wisdom and the words as I present this study. It's a powerful study. This Friday we will start by watching the War Room movie, and then dive into the Bible Study next week.
Also on another good note, my back is much better today. No pain, so I intend to get some work done on my book today, which I haven't worked on at all in the last two days because I couldn't sit here to do it.
There is one new show I want to watch tonight. I just need to figure out when it's on. The only thing the commercials said is after 60 Minutes, and that could be any time since 60 Minutes will be after the football game ends. It's God Friended Me. It sounds like a good one. However, depending on the time, it might be too late again for me to watch it, as I will be in the pool tomorrow.
I know some of you might be wondering, with the post I made yesterday. No leg or toe cramps last night or nosebleed. So, I'm going to expect whatever was going on, God took care of. And that makes me very happy.
Well, that's it for my news for today. What have you been up to? Thanks for reading.

@tammys85 It was an iffy night with leg cramps again. No pool today. I worried I would end up with another bloody nose, which would mean a trip to the ER, but thankfully that hasn't materialized. So the meds must be working the way they're supposed to.

Yes, it was. Sometimes I don't realize how long a post is until I submit it. I think people would wonder if I suddenly became short winded with my posts.
I can't watch HGTV. I would never get to sleep. I LOVE that channel. It's good I don't have cable any longer. I would never get any writing done.

So sorry to hear about the passing of the man. I hope the wife has enough support around her and will be okay.
Glad to hear your back is feeling better.

Congrats on the Packers for winning, and I'm glad your back, cramps and nosebleeds haven't been bothering you last night or today.
I'm sorry.
