It's Good To Be Back Home Again

Son2 has now returned to Raleigh and my missus and I are relaxing in the living room. We are watching a movie called "Wild Oats" starring Shelley Winters. I"m not paying much attention. After this weekend's camping trip, I am worn out and keep drifting off to sleep. It is a good thing I have tomorrow off to recover from the trip. How was your weekend?

It's always nice to turn into your own driveway after some time away. I can relate to dozing off in front of the TV.

We're watching Guernsey now. I knew the Channel Islands had been occupied during WWII but never gave much thought to how the lives of those who didn't evacuate before the Germans moved in endured under the Reich.

@DWDavis I read about this time but have forgotten most of it. Didn't they have some sort of repertory club that was a front for some subversive stuff?

@JudyEv If the movie is accurate, the club began because a group of friends was trying to hide the fact they kept a pig a secret from the Germans, butchered it, and ate it.

I might have gotten a nice nap, too, if my wife had not kept waking me up because she wanted me to see what was happening in the movie.

Not until Tuesday, actually. I have tomorrow off for Columbus Day. One of the advantages of teaching at a Catholic School.
