I hope no one here was affected by Hurricane Michael

I have a friend that was visiting friends in Florida and asked her when I read about Hurricane Michael heading that way that I hope she was not in his path. She told me she wasn't and would be gone to somewhere else by the time he came. I hope no one here was affected by it or have friends or family affected by it. I hope you and they are ok. I hope it did not get to West Palm Beach because I have family there. I will have to write to one and ask if they are ok.

This hurricane hit on the Gulf side of Florida so it was away from the Atlantic Coast. Now if it had gone up that coast north I would be in its path. Fortunately where I reside was far away from this one.

West Palm Beach is a long way away from where the hurricane hit (on the southeast side of the state near the Atlantic, as opposed to the panhandle Gulf northwest side where it hit). I've been watching the coverage. It's mind-boggling. I remember Eloise barely skirting the area where I lived (south of Sarasota) in 1975, and it scared the daylights out of me just by being in the fringes of it. I cannot even begin to imagine what the full force of a hurricane 2 MPH below a category five would be like....just that I would never want to experience it.

@DianneN Yes, My half brother's daughter lives there with her family. She was my niece before I was born. She is a year older than me. I was there once for a family thing after I made aliya to Israel.
