Eric Holder says "Kick them"

The political rhetoric in the USA is getting absurd. Congresswoman Maxine Waters has called for harassing political opponents. Senator Ted Cruz and his wife were hounded by a mob until they were forced to leave the restaurant they were eating at. There are many more examples I could give.
Former first lady Michelle Obama has, at least, tried to introduce some civility when she commented, "When they go low, we go high." Sadly, Eric Holder, Attorney General under Barack Obama, has rejected her attitude and gone on record saying, "When they go low, we kick them." He later said that those who objected to his statement were guilty of "fake outrage."
I'm not sure what either of these two are referring to when they talk about their political opponents going low. The political right is not bothering the left in public. They are not financing groups like Antifa who have literally taken control of Portland, Oregon's streets away from the police with the blessing of the mayor.
I've tried to think of anything that conservatives in the USA have done which would compare to these things. I honestly can not but, if anyone can I'm open to consideration.
