What makes you tell MyLot "What's on your mind"? My reasons vary: something I have read, seen or had to do, usually. Or just for a good vent. Some people do need lessons, though - hence the need for classes like this:
The classic Monty Python's Flying Circus Argument Clinic sketch. A man goes in to the Argument Clinic to have an argument. This is the full version of this s...

I hope you had the foresight to swallow the last mouthful too, wiping coffee splatters off the display screen can be tricky...

I had to read that twice, at first I thought you wrote 'What my line' then I realized that was too short. Strange what the mind can do to you. As for arguin, I think I got that one down packed .... or down pat, oh heck, I argue quite well but most people don't like when I voice my own opinion.

That video won't play for me. I seem to have fewer ideas of what to post here nowadays, perhaps I'll be here more when I return from my cruise.

@pgntwo Poor M. Barnier must have thought he’d just walked in on a Monty Python sketch when he met our lot. I’d love to know what Arlene’s shouting after him.

@pgntwo said with relish of course and great conviction and a big dose of arrogance, but without any reference to the real world. Poor Michel will be doing all he can to hurry Brexit along.

Had a good laugh from the link. It's good to have an occasional argument as long as it's an intellectual process and not merely wearing a T-shirt with the sign "debate this".

Glad you enjoyed it! Some people have turned arguing for argument's sake into an artform, others just become completely intransigent. Alas. Obstinacy is never going to listen to reason...

@Courage7 None here yet, plenty of wind and rain the past few days though. Makes the 150mile round trip I had to make yesterday a bit tedious...

Did you know that the human race is the only species to have invented "boredom"... I read that somewhere once, i wonder if the author was bored at the time?

I view MyLot just as if I'm sitting in the same room talking to people. It's just that I'm online. I don't get into any arguments here just like I don't argue with other people face to face. The only person I argue with is my husband. And I don't know why. I always win the argument. I shut up when I know I've made my point and let him keep going until he gets tired and runs out of wind!

OMG! I was watching Billy Connolly and he said if you're shagging sheep, take them to the edge of a mountain because they push back better! (I was laughing so hard I spit on my pc screen!)

Writing to inform can be a challenge. Equally, gleaning information from a post, and the to and fro that follows in comments, can be frustrating. Good answer.
