A lot of good stuff going on here, especially in the companion character development.
No one dies, which is surprising given the deadly environment.
Art Malik is good in his utter indifference to the Doctor’s presence, as he runs his Hunger Games style contest.
The cloth creatures were genuinely scary until they spoke.
Malik promised an obstacle called fog swamp which we never saw, possibly due to the underground short cut. The combination of Acetylene and self-lighting cigar was rather convenient and the fire ought to have roasted the humanoids too. Interesting that The Doctor objects to knives and gun but not to smoking.
How did the Doctor till have the Audrey Hepburn / Pythagoras sunglasses? Her pockets were totally empty last week, and she hasn’t yet got the TARDIS back.
I guessed the TARDIS was the monument from the start, and the new design is great. Susan Lynch, the assassin in Killing Eve, was great as a sort of cousin to Tank Girl while Sean Dooley’s Epzo was possibly the most miserable, selfish git ever to grace the series. I thought he would get a heroic death in the end.
This had some of the best set design and location work I’ve ever seen in Who.
The teaser for next week, with the Doctor involved in the Rosa Park Civil Rights story looks like very brave programme making indeed.

@arthurchappell With the exception of the New Years episode, i haven't liked any of them. Even that episode would only get a C- from me.

She grew on me with last night's episode. I do like her. Even Bradley Walsh is growing on me ... maybe they'll do a Dr Who/The Chase crossover!

Still find it hard to get into Doctor Who. I think that it's just not for me, but I've always enjoyed this:
