Hello everyone. Yes, me and my husband are due for blood test today. But unfortunately, I am not sure hubby can take it today because he has an important early meeting to attend to today. When having a blood test, most likely one will need to fast for 8-10 hours before the blood will be taken. I have to remind myself that I am undergoing fasting. So I put a sign on our refrigerator so i will not get water. And boy I am already thirsty. 2 more hours and hopefully this fasting is done. Did you have a hard time fasting before blood test?

@ilocosboy at least most part of it is at night, so it was okay but since I wake up quite early and I usually drink water then have coffee so I have to remind myself again and again.

Hope the blood results turn out good. I have no problem with fasting. I regularly do 16-hour and 24-hour fasts every week.

@ridingbet I did not eat immediately. I went home and eat breakfast at home. I do not think I am hyperglycemic at all.

Why can't you drink water? I usually fast before a blood test but I can always drink water.

I rarely have to fast but my husband does from time to time before his blood tests. It can seem a long time to go without food and drink sometimes.

Yes, I have a hard time. And it only lasts 1 hour. I couldn't stand 8 or 10 hours. That's a very long time. Why so much time?
