Bistro Mezzaluna is one of my favorite restaurants but due to prices and my budget I don't get there as much as I would like.
Every time I have been there I have been impressed with the restaurant itself, the service and the food---a winning trifecta.
I am seriously thinking of having my 21st birthday there--I am a Leap Year Baby and will be 21 in 2020!--though Cafe Vico did such a great job in 2016 I am not sure about going Italian again.
In any case Allen and I went there today and, as always, enjoyed from the moment to the moment we left and with someone else treating us that was the icing on the cake! :O)
After getting our basket of warm, soft rolls Allen ordered the special Shrimp Parmigiana ($18) while I had the Rigatoni Bolognese ($13) which was in a very rich, meat filled tasty sauce and both were excellent.
For dessert Allen always has the crumb apple pie a la mode ($14) while I had ice cream ($7) so plus my coffee, tax and tip the check came to about $73 which is a bit much for lunch but oh such a good lunch! (Though $14 for apple pie a la mode always seems a bit much for me no matter who is paying! LOL)
If you ever come to Fort Lauderdale be sure to go to the Bistro Mezzaluna and give it a try and start off by having their Shrimp Scampi which is almost as good as I make!
What is your favorite restaurant?

Sounds so good, but this place is too expensive for me so I'll stick with McDonald's or Taco Bell for now. Thanks though. I like low or no sugar desserts for I'm watching my sugar intake. I found at Don Quiote supermarket a 3.79 slice 3 gram carrot cake and cheesecake slice, that I'm satisfied for now. Found a whole 8" pumpkin pie no sugar added pie for 6.29 and enjoying it now for the beginning of my holiday season. I hope I can find more no sugar added pies too.

No, when I go to Taco Bell and McDonald's I worry about sodium intake. Just the desserts is when I worry about sugar in-take. It's nice when someone treats you and you go to your favorite restaurants!

I used to have favorite restaurants in the neighborhood where I live in NYC many moons ago. Now here in Daytona Beach, I have not been to any restaurants. I do not like to go alone and I have to watch my budget. Maybe I will venture one day to the diner here or the Waffel House. If I decide to come see Ft. Lauderdale, I will visit you and you can take me to lunch

With pleasure but we divide the check!! A 2.8% SS raise doesn't allow for me to treat others! LOL

For $14 Paul McCartney — looking like he did at 30 — had better eat it with me.
I love Chuy’s.
