Weather Channel says it's Colder

From what I saw on TWC, a huge mass of cold air from Canada is sweeping across most of the US right now resulting in record lows in some areas.

When we are camping, I like a cool evening. Better to enjoy the campfire.

I don't mind a cool morning as long as it's followed by a warm day. Soon we will have cold mornings followed by cool days and a long wait until the warm weather returns.

@DWDavis Sounds smart, crazy how little things can disturb the accuracy. While not always accurate for it can be accurate in other ways, Like working in the sun. I tell you what, when the sun melts the thermometer, might not want to work to long in that area that day. I think that is a interesting new perspective people forget about. Sure it works for the cold in some degree meaning shielded by buildings and what not. Something that makes me think anyway.

We placed our thermometer in a spot where it is shielded from the sun all day, so we get a fairly accurate reading of the temperature outside at the house.

Temps below freezing I am not ready for. Give me at least another month, please.

@thislittlepennyearns Arizona would be a big change, and quite an adventure I would think. I have always wanted to visit Arizona and the Grand Canyon as well as some of the sights where pre-Columbian tribes made homes.

@DWDavis this one is the smaller one. The big one will be next year. We're looking at Arizona as a possibility.

We had a great day yesterday. The morning was warm and we took the dogs for a nice long walk on the beach.

We got up to 79F (25C) here yesterday and woke up to 53F with a 40F windchill. (12C/5C). The sun is out but we are having strong winds this morning.

It finally feels like fall out your way.

We woke up to 70 here this morning. Schizophrenic weather.

You are very fortunate. We have pleasant weather for short periods at a time surrounded by too hot or too cold or too wet or too stormy. Around here we have a saying, "If you don't llike the weather, wait a minute, it will change."

@DWDavis That is a nice saying.It is true for our place too. All of a sudden a sunny day can turn into rainy one. We have rain anytime anywhere..all through the year.
