Yuki the Eel

Yesterday my husband bought me an eel from my fish take. My husband really want this eel, but he is too small for his 55 so I told him if you want it put him in my take and he can be mine till he gets to hg for his fish tank. Which mine is 20 and I only have neon tetra which are none agressive fish and if they get eat they are not hard to replace. His name is Yuki, which is Japanese from Winter Spirit and since he is a Snowflake eel. I thought it was a fitting name for him.

Can you share me the difference between an eel and electric eel? I read somewhere eel produces an electric shock.

Only electric eels do. Their are many types of eels because theirnis more then one breed. We have two snowflake eels. There is a fresh and salt water ones which I havea fresh snowflake eel and my husband has a salt water one. We also did have a peacock eel.
