Another Day At Dialysis

I've finally gotten into a somewhat solid routine for dialysis but it hinges on taking an Ultram (Tramadol) and Ativan. I take the combination about an hour before my chair time and it really helps me relax and fall asleep. Even if I can sleep for two of the four hours I am there it really helps to make the process more tolerable. I have chronic back pain and having to sit in one position for four hours can result in a lot of pain. If you are in pain while getting dialysis there are medications that you can take but you are going to want to make sure that they aren't going to be filtered out of your bloodstream during dialysis.

It is important to find what works for you and to keep that routine.

Sorry about that. Let me share this with you. About 7 years ago my friend's sister had Kidney transplant here in Nigeria. She felt sick and began to emaciate, ran series of medical test until the kidney disease was discovered, by then the two kidneys were already damaged. She went through dialysis for months and was scheduled to be flown to India for operation. But then with the support of the state government and the kindness of her elder sister who donated one of her own kidneys, the surgery was carried out in Nigeria, it was very successful and she has been living healthily since then.

I wrote to you and it disappeared. Dialysis is difficult for most. My best friend had a transplant because of her kidney. I hope you get some relief from the dialysis and live a long life.
