It is a growing legal area. But it remains just over the horizon. The laws must be in place.
1. If you generate more power (solar, wind or water) at your home, the extra is sent up the connected power lines and you receive a payment for the amount sent from the power company.
2. TE (transactive energy) heavily leverages the concept of a Micro-Grid. (A micro-grid is any home, business or organization that generates power at one, two or many buildings.)

Wow.... this is nice.. is it easy for you to put on these kinds of energy? Here solar panels are expensive plus the labor of installation but I like that. I like solar energy.

Solar panels are not cheap, they are a 10, 20 year investment. In Germany it is exploding, almost a 1/2 of their produced eagerly comes from solar panels.

It is the future, now if can just get US states to pass the laws required!
