… a severe weather disturbance here in our region.
My older brother who is on a 3-week vacation often complained of too much hotness during summer, or often wishes it will rain hard. “I hope it rains hard!” is what he often blurts out if the sun shines brightly at high noon. He is accustomed to the cold climate in UK. Here, even when we are already trembling due to cold temperature, he is shirtless and stays in front of the electric fan that is at high speed.
And now, the typhoon is coming here in my province. We are already informed of signal number 2 and the skies now are gloomy; it is raining lightly too.
Typhoon Rosita (Yutu) has weakened and its landfall tomorrow is between 2 provinces while my province is excluded already. My brother will therefore experience how it is like keeping still while the rains hit hard, the winds howl, and (hoping against hope) the earth might shake. Then, he will be with us at home while Rosita will lash out her typhoon and rains -attitude.
I would not want to experience this; I hope my brother won’t too, in the future.

I never want to experience such a typhoon. Fortunately, we have never had a typhoon here. Take care, my dear friend.

yes that is true. maybe because it is so hot that water evaporates, condenses, and gathers more water from any large bodies of water.

Stay safe although it may not be as strong as the previous one but it is always good to be prepared always for anything can happen during typhoon season. As for your visitor hope he does not get traumatised by it when he witnesses what we go through during a typhoon.

hahaha! here we go again. he is not a visitor because he is my brother and he lives in this house too.
Rosita was not as strong as Lawin or Ompong; lights were back in the evening. there were no major damages.

he did! and he made a status post on Facebook that he just slept while the winds were howling.
the typhoon was not as severe as the previous one last September. the eye of the storm changed course and it made its landfall in a distant province.
we are fine and okay, thank God.

yes, he had what he wished for. he even hoped for flashes of lightning and roars of thunder to which i and my sister disagreed and said, it was better there were no lightnings and thunder unlike last month's typhoon that the earth shook.

thank you. i think we are already accustomed to strong typhoons because this time at signal number 2, we did not worry that much unlike last month's typhoon.
