Random bits about the past few days

My daughter came down with an odd rash on her inner upper arm. I took her to the walk in and he said he thinks it’s just something viral. It’s NOT chicken pox, scabies, moluscum or hand foot and mouth! She sees a dermatologist Thursday for her acne so we will see what he says. Friday night my boyfriend and his son came over. He and I watched the third episode of “The Haunting of Hill House”. I can’t wait to watch the next episode! I made Eggo s’mores for the kids for a bedtime snack. You can see them in the toaster oven cooking before adding the tops. His dog kept looking around for my cat to harass her. I don’t think she realizes the cat died. My dog hasn’t acted that way at all so she must know. I finally finished watching “Pay It Forward”. I couldn’t figure out why @sharon6345 said she cried until the very end when I started crying as well. Great movie though! Last night for dinner I made a recipe that someone had mentioned here. Black bean and sweet potato quesadilla. I wasn’t a fan of it. I finished it tonight for leftovers. Last night after my boyfriend got home from work I drove out to his house for him to change the brake pads on my rear van tires. He had estimated it would take 10 minutes per side but I wound up being there over an hour. I finished the book I was reading called “The Target” by David Baldacci. Today I mowed the lawn for the last time this year! I ran it until all the gas was out then turned it over and hoses it all off. My two nephews came over for awhile. The little one played video games with my son and they rode bikes outside. The older one played with my dog and hung out on the couch with his iPod while I made dinner. My mother was just up at the ER as her heart was beating wrong. They did an ekg and something else and said it is adult asthma and are sending her to a pulmonologist to have 5 more tests done as her lungs aren’t working well. She’s been battling with breathing problems since the beginning of September so at least now she is getting some answers.

I would probably eat and enjoy the black bean dish. It sounds as if your brakes were a little tricky. It is great that your boyfriend could fix them.

@GardenGerty He had to cut something off and then it fell. When it fell he couldn't figure out how it went on to out the new one on. He said he messed with it for about a half hour before thinking to take the other side off to see how that looked. Then he was able to put the new one on. Someone here at mylot made the dish and told me where they found it so I was able to look it up and tried it. Here is a link to that recipe :
Oct 11, 2018- These quesadillas from My Beef with Meat are a regular with the Engine 2 plant-strong Hall family. They are simple to make and very satisfying. In

@andriaperry my mom has mitrovalve prolapse. It never causes any problems though except she have to take an antibiotic before any dental work. They said her heart had an occasional off best but it wouldn't cause problems. I guess it's just the asthma which I never knew could make a heart beat incorrectly.

Your dog surely knows that your lovely cat is no more, they lived together, she feels this. I hope your mother feels better now. I am not a fan either of black beans and sweet potatoes.

@LadyDuck my dog is much smarter then his dog too though lol. I texted my mom this morning but haven't heard from her. Maybe she is sleeping in to get extra rest. I like black beans but not sweet potatoes. To use up the rest of the can of sweet potatoes I have been adding a tiny amount to my smoothie each day.

@shaggin I also dislike the taste of sweet potatoes. Your dog is surely a lot smarter.

Eggo? Smores? You do mean with the waffles? I've never heard of that before. Will they be able to sleep after that sugar buzz, lol. I've never cleaned my mower and really didn't know how to go about doing so. I wondered how the gas wouldn't run out all over the place, but never thought about running it until it's completely gone. I'll have to consider that for next year once I have the second new knee. At present I have a school boy mow for me but I may need to clean it myself. It's too bad it took this long for your mom to find out some answers but at least she's closer to them now.

@MarshaMusselman yep eggo waffles. The ones I used are shaped like little pieces of toast. The gas will leak out so I have to run the mower until it is out of gas and quits then I can turn it over and clean the underside of the mower off with the hose.

@shaggin I'm sure the gas would leak out of any machine. I mentioned your technique to someone older than me and he will put syran over the opening and the screw on the cap he says he's never lost gas that way. He might also use a rubber band but I don't remember.

@DianneN the first episode was kind of slow and boring until the very end. Second one was better? Third was really good. I can't wait to watch more episodes. I hope you and your husband enjoy it. If you are easily spooked maybe watch it during the day instead of right before bed.

@Courtlynn when I took her to the dermatologist he didn't know what the rash was either but it is going away. Every time I switch to cold water in the washing machine she gets something like moluskum contagiosum or ringworm etc. I was using cold water when the hot water heater quit and figured I'd save money washing the laundry in cold water but nope I'm going back to warm water now.

@MarshaMusselman I never bothered to mention it to the doctors. We had just bought clothing at a thrift store and although I did wash them it was in cold water. She got the rash right after that. I believe the dryer actually kills more germs then hot water does though so really it is probably very coincidental that she happened to get these different things when I washed clothes in cold water.

@shaggin I've never heard off anyone getting any of those ailments just from washing in cold water unless there's organisms in your water pipes but then it would affect your cooking too. Did anyone explain why she gets those things when you wash with cold water?

@snowy22315 they wouldn't have sent her home if her lungs were working any less. My dad said her level was 240 and at 200 they have to stay in the hospital. She was able to get out in the fresh air and go trick or treating with my sisters kids last night. Hopefully the new doctors she sees will know what to do better then her primary care doctor who she has been seeing the past few months about this.

@Plethos thank you! She didn't have to stay in the hospital overnight as her levels were 240. At 200 they make them stay.
