Treadmill for your Dog

Dog Treadmill

I have a manual treadmill that I use when the weather is not nice outside. I just had a 15 minute workout for today since it is raining. I was looking online and saw this cool treadmill for dogs. I have two cats and they run when they hear me walking on the treadmill. But dogs are probably different, since they love walking. Pixabay photo. Not my treadmill. Not my dog. Not my photo. Just sayin'. Have any of you tried a treadmill for your dog? I think it's a great idea, once you get him/her used to it What do you think? Dogs get bored indoors and need the exercise every day.

I never have, mine just zoom through the house. But I know a guy that used one to get his hunting dogs in shape for the hunting season.

Zooming is a form of exercise too.

@CarolDM I should have had one when I had my dog. I could use one for my cat.

@CarolDM Because their hearing is better than ours. I understand completely because my cat does not like noise either.

No. When I was still at my brothers place I used to bring out his dogs to parks but he never thought of buying a treadmil for dogs

I've heard of them for dogs, but we don't have a dog anymore. We just got rid of our treadmill. I walk outside every day and use the one at our new gym if it rains.

You would have to get them used to it gradually.

I have a big muscular dog who would love one of these, although I have no idea where I'd put it.

That is a problem sometimes, even though they fold up now to store them.

It can be a good idea. Dogs get bored easily.

Yes if a person could not walk the dog and I often think this about poor dogs nowadays that are trapped in apartments with no where to run..unnatural.
