Diary Tuesday 30th October 2018 Things are about to get very busy for me, but today was fairly routine with a need to buy a new weekly bus ticket and going to the community centre for the weekly near its sell by date cheap price random food parcel, which is very welcome with my reduced income at present. Diary Wednesday 3st October 2018 A job search day at the community centre went pretty much as I expected but I got home to a phone call inviting me to a job interview with an agency, pending possible warehousing work in Preston but the interview is to take place tomorrow in Leyland, two buses away. In the evening I went to a Halloween themed poetry event, reading some of my poetry there too. It was a great event. Diary Thursday 1st November 2018 Interview day, and though it didn’t start until nearly noon, I had to head off about 9.30 am to be sure of finding the right address. The lady interviewing me was very nice and signed me up for a training week next week, Monday to Friday, which means I’ll be cancelling lots of my planned voluntary work, but the induction training could lead to work for me before Christmas. After the interview, as it was a nice day I walked round Leyland and Chorley taking pub sign photos. I found two pubs with almost the same name, on opposite sides of the street, Th’ Owd Seven Stars, which was very nice (I went in for a beer) and The Seven Stars, which claimed to serve real ales though it didn’t so I left that one.
