She Sells Sea Shells

My dad and my grandparents went for a swim at the beach today. I tagged along and was jealous I can’t swim today. I just recently recovered from an ear infection and it’s my time of month so swimming is not an option. I did enjoy the gorgeous view and managed to dip my feet in sea water. It’s like the next best things. I also managed to take some lovely photos. Here’s a photo of the shells embedded on the beach floor instead of the usual tiny white sands. They are gorgeous!

Wow, I definitely wouldn't want to walk barefoot on a beach full of sea shells like the ones in your photo! I hope you didn't slice up your feet! haha I've always been a sucker for sea shells. When I was a child I would collect them. Even now as an adult I still walk the beaches looking for gorgeous shells!

I was wearing my slippers. My mum said I should. I would dare without the slippers. The shells looked dulled by the sea.

@moffittjc I did have a great day and we adopted stray kitties from the beach. Made my day. It’s tomorrow! 5th of November!

@flapiz Despite not being able to go for a swim, I hope you had a wonderful day at the beach! How close are you to your birthday? I don't want to miss wishing you a happy birthday!

@mesbakh Even the English translation seems like a tongue twister.

Then having those on the beacj floor, will not be enjoyable. Instead you will not want to walk in them, because they are a bit sharp on the feet and you might break those shells instaed if you walk on them.

Well I had my slippers on for good measure. But it’s not too rough as the sea has dulled them. Some look like rocks from salt and mineral formation. I’d be more scared of sea urchins.

@flapiz Oh sea urchins. i am so afraid of them, that is why I haven't swam in the sea for almost more than a decade now. They hurt so much when you step on one accidentally.

@SIMPLYD They hurt and you have to pee on your puncture site. Which I find disgusting

Get well soon and enjoy the swimming. During my childhood days I love to collect shell's when we went for a picnic on sea beaches. But now I am not living on the sea shore areas. You are very lucky that you are collecting the shells now.

Hey Debjani I’m just collecting photographs. When I was younger I used to collect them too but now I think I’m happy seeing them in their natural place.

Don't they make ornaments of them there? In India, our women love earrings and bangles made of shells.

That would be really beautiful. There are plenty of shell ornaments sold here too. A little bit on the pricey side.
