How's that cold of yours?

Here in the south when people know you are suffering from a cold they will often greet you with the title of this post or some close equivalent thereto. There came a point several years ago where I decided to start taking the question literally.
Now, if my cold is thriving and I'm suffering from the symptoms, I will answer with, "My cold is doing well, but I feel miserable."
That is the state I find myself in this morning at Way-to-Early O'Clock. Between the stuffiness and coughing - evidently, my Nyquil didn't quite give me 'long-lasting relief' from my cold symptoms - I surrendered and came downstairs so as not to keep bothering the missus. She has to work today and I have the day off. I can nap after she goes to work and cough all my cold wants me to.
It's not often I wake up before Pee O'Clock with the intent of staying up. The dogs are confused but came downstairs with me, went outside, and came in for breakfast as soon as they'd done their bit. It's a chilly 46F (8C) outside.
I hope your day started off better than mine. What are your plans for this Monday?

my day will be dominated by a job agency interview this afternoon - hope the cold fares badly but you fare well

That made me chuckle my sisters strategy is you know if I catch a cold could die and while true I say nah, not that lucky. We just laugh. Older you get she makes sure i know that one

I'm sorry your cold is doing well but you're not. I had a hard time getting up this morning, but I still got things accomplished and made it to the pool this morning. My plan is to get at least one day's notifications caught up. I'm on the 7th right now, then get to work on NaNo. New Horizons is coming along well.
I hope you feel better soon. I saw school buses today, so our kids aren't off. Enjoy your day off as much as you can.

My cold (cough) seems to have departed at long last. Generally I'm a one cold per winter kind of person. I hope that trend continues.
We use VapoRub on our feet during our colds. I could write a commercial, it's been that helpful.

I went through a bout of that as well although I hardly suffer from it It was almost 3 years ago that I had to take antibiotics and I took a course of it this time as well.
