I better put the kettle on

I can feel it in my throat, a scratchy type feeling that is bothersome. My upper sinuses as well (roof of my mouth) is feeling it too. Did I not bundle up enough? Or was it something else? Perhaps the fan on at night? Though I am never chilled, just cozy. I am not sure what it is that has caused this, but I am sure I am getting a cold. I'll hope that it's allergies, but it never seems to be. In the meantime, I'll put the kettle on and have a glass of lemon ginger tea, or perhaps peppermint. Though I have some Morracan (I spelled this wrong) mint / green tea as well, so perhaps that would suit me well. I'm also in a onesie pajama and under a blanket too boot.

They say the cold cannot make you sick. It's catching the germs from others. And you catch those germs easier if you are run down (which I always am). I only need a couple of cups of Echinacea tea with a wedge of lemon to scare any illnesses away. Of course, having fibromyalgia, cold symptoms ARE also fibro symptoms so who knows whether I was catching something or just run down and exacerbating the fibro symptoms? Better safe than sorry. Who needs a cold on top of having fibro?

My aunt has fibro and sometimes it really just kicks her in the rear. I guess it's a possibility that I got the germ from someone else. I have been around my nephew, uncle, aunt, waitresses. Actually, just today there was a woman at the thrift store I go to with a cold. Of course, that would be mighty fast for germs to spread.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Passing of paper is the number one way to spread cold and flu. One thing I am sure to do is always wash my hands when I get home from doing groceries. Not only are their germs on the shopping carts and cashiers, but the products could have dust and such on them. Two people behind me at church admitted they had colds during the "sign of peace" shaking of hands. I toyed with the idea of using Purell. Instead I just took Communion by mouth instead of having it put in my hands. I am cautious but not as cautious as I should be.

@patgalca I do not get sick too often and so I don't often worry about things like that. If I see someone visibly sick then I might wash my hands afterwards. I didn't even think of doing it today and that wasn't my last stop of the day either. Oh well, I have a cold now and there's not much to be done about it. I'll probably have a lie down here in a few minutes.

I will. I thought about taking an allergy pill (I have no cold medicine yet) and a nap. I had a really early dinner today so there's not much else left for me to do.

It could be a cold, lot of sickness going around these days. I have been lucky and not sick yet this fall. I hope it stays that way.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah well I've had a sore throat since last night and coughing. I hope it's just allergies. And that sucks I just got rid of mine a week ago.

@Blondie2222 I hope it's just allergies for you as well. I haven't been too terribly bad. I keep drinking tea and taking cough medicine so I think that's helping considerably.

I hope so for your sake. I feel miserable because my "best friend" has also come to visit.

I've had a sore throat for the last two days. I have loaded up on Blackcurrant Lemsips. Hope you feel better soon. This time of year is a bundle of fun for germs.

Drinking tea, sucking on cough drops and peppermints. I am going to turn on the bathroom heater and take a shower after I watch the news. I hope I can knock it out.
