I have been taking a lot of salt to a point where I don't feel its presence when the amount is normal. I recently went to the hospital for regular check up and my doctor told me to stop taking too much salt. I am now learning to reduce salt intake. Too much salt intake is a leading cause of hypertension. Although it is common for older people to get it, young people are also at risk this days due to excessive intake of salt. This is most common especially for people like me who love taking fast foods. I advice everyone to check on their salt intake and reduce if need be.

Consume less salt. Excess of it increases our blood pressure.

I rarely eat fast foods and try to eat more fresh foods like fruits and vegetables. I do like a bit of salt in my salads and I use more natural salts instead of white refined salt.

I have high blood pressure even though I am not yet 30. My doctor was very surprised.
