I was writing a smaller post so thought to do it right in the 'write' box. Bad, bad idea as it wasn't the right box but the wrong one, . Argwww!! As I hit the down arrow to submit it, it flipped my page to earnings and I couldn't retrieve it, again. So I must remember to write any post elsewhere first. Anyway, want I was trying to say was. I didn't expect to get dumped on quite this much. The inches increased during the night from 4-6 inches and it's still snowing. Maybe we're getting all the snow and not so much will land on Fredo in CT. This does not mean that snow is now here too stay. It could be it or could all melt soon and warm up a bit. See you later, maybe after I shovel.

At least you are gone when he does it. It's he's in good health shoveling may be decent exercise, but if that's all he does for exercise then maybe he should ask the doctor first. At least so you don't worry.

@MarshaMusselman I always hated when we got lots of snow while growing up. I am glad we do not get snow all the time in Jerusalem.

I have no idea what your weather is like there. We got two snow falls in November of several full inches we should check time and be steely anything this month. I've she stress a couple of pics here if f why see little we got it's possibly snowed four to ten times but barely more than a dusting each time. I've no idea what the next two months of winter might bring

@Hannihar I think a lot of places are getting that type of weird weather. We had rain a few days ago and then it froze and snowed on top of that. Today it was a bit over forty degrees F and then it will get cold again for a few days and maybe warm up to what it was today again later in the week. For us, we may be affected by the elnino or elnina which is that those areas that are normally cold and wet might be dryer and warmer. Those areas that are usually warmer and dryer might be colder and more precipitation of some type. It sounds like parts of NC saw more snow so far than we have here in Michigan, which is quite rare. I will include a image I took a day or so ago of the light snowfall we got.

This was written in November, how is the snow situation now? So far, we have been lucky.

So far I've not needed to get out the snow plow at all and only shoveled once or twice, but just the porch and walkways. We were supposed to get three days of snow earlier this week and barely got a couple of hours. It was melted by the next day.

I've had that happen a few times. Poof to my post. Did the snow melt away after a day or two?

It did melt away, yes, but I don't know how many days later. It's snowed several times since but mostly flurries it a light dusting. Just enough to need a little shoveling and salt on the steps and ramp. Not enough to get out the snow blower as yet I did make sure there was enough gas to run it if needed.

The first flakes are falling here. At least two hours after the forecast. We will see if the storm that's predicted materializes, or if it passes us by.

Ours began yesterday around noon. My husband saw on the weather app that we may get six inches when it's done. We have a wire that if it were a few feet closer to my porch I could about reach it and knock some snow off it. It may just be for cable, I'm not sure. I think our electric line comes off the pole in the back yard. Pic coming. Hmm I just realized my snowy image isn't loading for some reason. Will try again for the third time shortly. Let's see if this one of the heavy wire- uploads here.

@Morleyhunt out began yesterday before noon and quit sometime today. Then it melted enough to produce a lot of slush. I'm hoping it doesn't all freeze as that becomes hard to walk on all the bumps

Did you ever take any pictures of your snow there?

We got about 8 inches of that white stuff dumped on us here in Pennsylvania. The sun only melted a tiny bit of it so it looks like a winter wonderland outside. As much as I hate snow and ice it does make me feel in the holiday spirit.

You were musing about your tree. I've seen several in windows already. If we put one up I really need to rearrange my living space. I don't usually bother as anymore. My kids are grown and there's no grands yet. Once they show up in alle we'll have to find out tree. WE didn't seen the sun today but it was melting anyway. I'm sure the slush will freeze. At least I'm not working and don't need to find the right path.
