My new pair of eyeglasses had the problem before: the left nose pad was loose before so my sister added glue to keep it firm. I used the glasses after an hour because I know the fume of the glue can make me dizzy. Last Wednesday, the right nose pad was also getting loose that it was turning around. Before I let the nose pads be changed because the left one separated from the specs; I was not charged because it was the second time. My sister brought it for repair the first time and she paid about P20 only. So my sister volunteered that she add some glue (rugby- not the sport, and Mighty Bond). She told me not to use the specs for an hour. I was, however, in a hurry to use my eyeglasses that I suddenly ‘got high’ with the fumes of the glue. I sat down and closed my eyes. I did not feel dizzy, but I felt like my eyes were rolling up and down. Ah, I thought! Maybe that is how we get high on drugs. NB: There is a glue or adhesive paste here in my country that is bought in hardware stores that are often used by persons who are addicts and want to get high, even kids use them to create their own worlds. It is named RUGBY.
