Saturday was National Preemie day. As a mom of 2 preemies it’s something not everyone talks about. If can be hard having and raising a preemie because it comes at a risk. I’m so happy that two preemies are here with us. Not every family gets to take home their preemies and get to see them grow some watch them slowly return to the heavens.
Here are my two, one lost a brother early in my pregnancy but he is still here with us as I like to say feels and deals with the world for two.

Our grandson was born at 30 weeks and weighed 2.5 pounds. He had a couple of problems, but he's now a big, healthy teenager. Hope your boys are doing well also.

Thanks but my two are a a girl and a boy. I do have another boy but he my full term baby. My girl started out at 4lbs 7oz. She has some asthma but mostly will out grow it as her lungs get bigger but she does have a lot of ear problems. Small ear canals. The second one he was 6lbs 5.5oz bid boy and my biggest baby over all. He has some small lungs too which makes colds rough but other then that they are both very healthy for there ages.

How will those handle their preemie. Is proper treatment are there for such preemie? I think proper care makes them optimist to lead a normal life.

Every preemie is different depending at what part of gestation they where born st. Some have a life long of treatments and others do not. We where lucky with our two they are very normal children and don’t have a life long of medical needs. My oldest has asthma which can be an affect of being born early but also can be genetically. We lean more towards it being genetic since both me and her father have asthma as well. Our second born has no medical needs. Other then he tents to be wheeze when sick which is also a preemie thing lungs have a difficult time. It really depends on the child at birth. Typically you see more full term babies have more Heath issues then a preemie does. In the long run it comes down to genetics, and habits
