Today, I scheduled myself to update my records at the Social Security office.
It is known here that when we transact at government offices or government own offices and the likes, it is burdensome because of the number of people making transaction there from day-to-day.
My last visit at the said office was on July of this year. My first attempt was I was not able to secure a priority number because it already reached the cut-off. The following day, I arrived at 8+ in the morning and my number was almost in the end. I was the last person being catered at almost six o’ clock in the afternoon. The bad thing is I wasn’t able to process my transaction because of the document requirements.
I prepared myself for an early time to at least secure first a priority number. So, I set the alarmed at 4 o’ clock in the morning to make it sure that I could get there for such an early time before the other people do. Somehow, part of my body did not agree my plan because I wasn’t fall asleep until 2 in the morning. This is really a problem of me when I have an early appointment or activity the following day. Still, I was able to wake up on the time set although, I felt dizzy and still sleepy.
I was not the first person to arrive at their office. There were people already falling in line upon my arrival but not as many as I expected. The GOD (guard on duty) started to distribute numbers at 6 and luckily my number is 18 (not bad). Official time begins at 8 as usual so I went home for my meal and then back at 9. Number called was already at 15th so 3 notches only before me.
Thankfully, the transactions ran fast and smoothly. This is the advantage of having all with you the necessary requirements and documents for verification. I think the transaction did not last in 10 minutes.

I also had that experience when I handled payment of monthly sss contribution. It took me half day to wait in line just to get paid which only takes about less than 5 minutes. Good thing they implemented that payment direct to the banks now that payment is easier now and less hassle of going to their office to pay your contribution.

@rsa101 They're improving a lot. But, I hope in our branch they could at least put a counter solely for SC and pregnant women. In our branch, there are only two counters for updating, application and similar transactions aside from other counters with other purpose. The other one is used for normal clients alternate with SC and pregnant women.
