This is the first time in years that Maria is visiting me. She has been mostly at her home since her husband had a brain hemorrhage a couple of years ago. He is in a wheelchair and talks just a little bit. Maria is mostly caring for him and has a helper for some of the house work.
A lot of things had to be done so that Maria could come. Someone has to stay at home to take care of everything.
I have 2 cakes: the apricot one I made and a chocolate one I bought and partly froze. There are 2 kinds of jam, cheese and ham and mashed hard boiled eggs with a bit of mayo and mustard.
And then, there“s coffee and tea, of course. What do you think?

It's very hard work being a caretaker so the break she had with you must have been very nice. Hope things get better for Maria and her husband. Tea and snacks sounds very good.

She had not gone out of her house for 3 years, except for the trips to the hospital. She was elated.

@marguicha If she wants to continue caring for her husband, she needs to try to take care of herself too or she will be the next one to fall ill.

I read from an earlier post that she used to be your maid! Not many people keep good relationships with their once maids
