Who are You Missing Today?

I chanced upon this photo while browsing on google.
It looks like me and my mom back in the days where we would spend summer mornings pruning the roses in our garden. She had a thing for roses. Although she had other plants in our tiny garden, it's her roses that get more of her tender, love, and care from her green thumb. I guess it’s nostalgia. Maybe I am missing my mother.

As I am on myLot right now, I am missing a late myLotter who passed away almost exactly a year ago. He was a nice guy - our friendship carried over here from another site. He was that online friend who you knew would always be there - he would be talking about the coming of winter about now.

@CarolDM Oh...
There is this line in the movie that goes: When a spouse loses his better half, he's a widower or widow. When a child loses his parents, he's an orphan. What about when a mother loses her child? Because the pain of losing a child is inexplicable, you cannot even find a word for it.

I miss my parents now. I am living far from my parents place. I visit them once every three months only.
