It does cause acidity especially if your stomach has been empty for a while. It is always advisable to take something light like a biscuit or cookie before it or any light snacks.
Hope you are feeling better now.

I have been a coffee drinker and I prefer it strong with least sugar and no cream and yes that is true it increases the acids in your stomach. Just recently I discovered a non-acidic coffee which is primarily made of corn seeds and it really helped. Today's popularity of instant coffee especially 3 in 1 which has a very aromatic smell can actually aggravates an acidic condition.

@amitkokiladitya it does, especially when you drink it on an empty stomach.

Don't drink coffee too often, because I don't think that is good. Avoid this with a lot of time, so you can avoid various diseases caused by these drinks. I have felt the same thing, and I have to go to the doctor to I checked my condition, and as a warning that the doctor said, that drinking coffee should not be too often, multiply drinking water to maintain health. Because healthy living is the choice of every human being

We only have coffee on weekends. Have you tried cold brewed coffee? Instead of hot water, it is brewed with cold water (takes longer to make of), but apparently it is less acidic. We haven't tried it yet, though we've been curious about it for quite some time.
