I am going to go read

I hope to read and crochet tonight, while dishes wash.

@wolfgirl569 Some of them will not run as background. Some do. I am running them a bit more lately. I wish I could get at least one survey daily.

I do that too. Especially if I have to be gone. Sometimes I just leave videos running as well.

@GardenGerty I always have my swagbucks videos running at least in the background.

I ended up visiting with my daughter in law instead and that is fine. I can read tonight if I choose.

It is good to get away from the computer for a while before bed. I have some crochet to do as well.

@ScribbledAdNauseum If you know how to do the stitches, you can learn to crochet and eventually get the tension. You need to do it a lot. What colors do you like?

@GardenGerty I would love to be able to actually crochet . I never could get the hang of it. THe tension was always off for me. A granny square afghan is what I wanted to make.

Well the reading got interrupted by some visiting with my daughter in law online.

There are several sites I go to online. I earn just a little bit of money. MyLot is actually more about the socialization.

@GardenGerty I enjoy the socialisation here too.

If I start, I do not want to stop. I am always online trying to earn on various sites, though.

I did read but not the night I said I would. I read last night. The whole book. You have a lot of responsibilities, with working for Sada and looking after you husband.

What do you like to read? A particular genre or author?

@GardenGerty Just about anything as long as it's well written.

@shaggin I have gotten to where I will not read them unless it is something I check out.

I have one I am "investigating" called The Civil War Diary Quilt . It is diary excerpts, plus a quilt block to go with each. I have a feeling that if I were to fall in love with it, I would have to buy it. I also have a book by MC Beaton called A Highland Christmas. It features Hamish Macbeth as the detective. Light and easy reading.

@GardenGerty The civil war one sounds really neat. When I was a kid until late teens I would not read books unless I could keep them. Now I read them and donate them so it's just the opposite lol. I have hundreds of books and no room on my shelves so if I kept them all I would have no where to sit!

Nope, did not get to. My daughter in law began messaging me. I enjoyed that as well.

It is a habit I need to cultivate. It is good for body and soul.

@responsiveme I read that as a teenager, and I wanted to be Scarlet. Her daddy in my imagination, looked a lot like my grandfather.

@GardenGerty ...Yes ,what a heroine. The sequel written by someone else was a big let down. I think Vivien Leigh was the perfect Scarlett in the movie. Though a book is always so much better

I have three books to choose from. One is actually a non fiction called The Civil War Diary Quilt. It is made up of things written by the women who were at home while their men folks were at war. It has instructions for a sampler type quilt based on those diaries. I have a feeling I will want to buy the book so I can take a long time with it. For light reading I have a book by MC Beaton called A Highland Christmas. She is a light mystery writer. I also brought home a book by an author I have never read. Author is Elizabeth Lynn Casey. Title is Dangerous Alterations, and it says it is A Southern Sewing Circle Mystery. Oh, and I have a Woman's World Magazine to read as well.

I have some of that in my mind, as Bob is older than I. I probably need to find at least a part time job for interaction and structure outside of the house.
