As you know by now, November was National Novel Writer's Month. I wasn't here as much as I usually am because I was busy writing and taking part in the 50K challenge which ended at midnight.
My final totals are in. I also want to congratulate my fellow NaNoWriMo writing buddies who also did an excellent job with their books and word counts: DW Davis, @KristenH, @akalinus, and April.
My final totals are: Total book word count: 165,521 - You know that's two books and I will separate the two books today. New Horizons - Predators and Blue Fire is complete. I am five chapters into Book 2. Total NaNoWriMo word count: 60,122. My total for yesterday to bring my total to 60,122 is 1688.
Now that the challenge is complete, you might see me more this month, though I do have a deadline for Thread of Evidence for the 31st and I must get it finished. I have twenty chapters to edit and work through yet. My son is also redoing the map as it tore when he took it from his drafting table. So, that too will be completed this month.
I plan to get the notifications caught up today. I only have 200+ and two days to read and comment on. I'll get it done.
I also just ordered my Christmas tree and will be picking it up sometime today. It's a 32" fiber optic tree I can set on my table. So no moving furniture.
What are your plans for this first day of December and the beginning of the last month of 2018? Thanks for reading.

@just4him I would do better if it weren't in November as that's normally a busy month for us with our business. Anytime between December and March would have been better. Therefore, I've done it a few times, mostly when still on wdc, but not so much since then.

@MarshaMusselman November is my non-busy month, so it works for me.

Well good for you on getting so many words written and two books completed. Is that what you meant?
Are you going to join Gary Marsh and put a dish soap bottle atop your tree, lol?
I have too much cleaning I want to accomplish to bother with a tree this year. I need to rearrange my living space, and I have stored things behind my couch which is away from a corner of the room. I need to move it back onto a wall for now so I can bring a glider I got from my mom a few years ago out into the same room. I've been storing the glider in the spare bedroom and need to move a newer bookcase in there instead that my husband bought to store his movies on and get the off the floor.
Maybe next year we will do a tree again, especially if my daughter has a baby by then.

You're busy!
No, I didn't finish two books, only one. I started book two. I'm not sure how many books will be in this series, but I'm leaning towards ten. Probably take the rest of my life to write them.
No, I'm not going to join Gary Marsh and put a soap bottle on top of my tree.

Congrats Valerie and thanks. I won my 10th Nano yesterday at 62, 208. The highest I ever won with. I plan to continue writing in my thriller this winter, edit in summer, and do book 3 for next year's Nano. I also plan to hope to land an agent by Christmas.

Thank you. I do need to split the books to see how many words are in each.
