I'll begin this by saying I am not sure how creative I can be with this part. I've mulled it over since yesterday and I figured I'd try to get all my thoughts out. Again, this is a piece of creative writing based off of a dream I had.
We traveled for some miles until we came across another small town. I felt as if perhaps I had walked into an industrial stand off. Part of the town stood proud with its 19th century buildings while the other was all sleek designs of steel and glass. I felt both intrigued and saddened by the mix of old and new.
We turned right down a long road that led us to a structure that resembled a barn, if barns were as big as football fields. The outside was still a classic red barn but inside was full of gas pumps and rows of snacks. We drove around until we found an empty pump and the man, "Lucky" paid someone to pump our gas.
I felt like screaming then, like calling attention to my situation, but I didn't dare. The longer I sat there, the more glad I was that I hadn't. Something seemed off about the entire place, and not just because it was a big gas station full of people mulling about.
I began to pay attention to the people walking around and the little nuances in their mannerisms. Almost as if they had to think about every little twitch they made. It is the same thing I noticed about my companion. When driving, he was fine, but while walking, and even talking, he often paused. It wasn't quite natural, but it wasn't exactly robotic either.
I decided wherever we were, and whoever these people was, they were his kind. I stayed put, not uttering a word.

Maybe with a man named Lucky in your dream luck is going to finally find you.

There was another discussion where I explained "lucky" was a play on Lucifer.
This wasn't even last night's dream but the night before last. Last night's was.. well it was something else.

I've had a couple of days of dreams that were even weirder than this. They are more personal though, so I won't write about them. I am glad you enjoy my writing. I like to write from time to time, and I love sharing it here.

Interesting dream for sure, and well written as usual.
