Computer Problem—“System Restore Initializing” Stuck

I encountered this problem in my desktop. I have limited troubleshooting idea when unit is not working properly but I thought that the problem was not that serious when I was doing this sort of remedy. Few days ago I downloaded a kiddie game and run it so that the kid can play offline. I’m not sure if that was really the culprit as the next day, the computer is working so low. I immediately uninstalled the game and restore the computer at earlier point of time hoping that it would fix the problem. However, I can’t finish the process because it stuck even for several attempts. I search for possible solutions but none of it helps. I just restarted the computer and was able to use normally but before that, a reminder flashed on the screen that nothing has changed as the system restore was unsuccessful. I tried another attempt but still it’s the same. Has anyone of you encountered the same? Photo Credit: pixabay.com

@ZedSmart Have you tried to defrag your computer? It might work too, but if the issue is in your system, the only option is to reformat your whole computer.

Shall I call for technician to look after it or I should just leave it that way as it is working fine now? I mean it's functioning.

sometimes another program interferes with the reboot.there used to be a program called "start up cop" that allows you to shut off individual ones running in the background.

Oh oh, not really familiar with that. I think I need to call a technician to fix it. But it's working OK now though I just can't bring it to restore at earlier time.

I have. Sometimes retrying the system restoration will fix the issue. Sometimes it doesn't work because the system restore point I'm trying to use is corrupted. Once I had problems with slowness and system restore not working, and it turned out to be because my hard drive was on the verge of crashing. How does your hard drive space look? If it's getting full and you have very little free space, that can cause speed issues too. If it's working fine now, though, I'd probably leave stuff alone aside from making sure all my important files were backed up just in case.

It's not loaded with files. The C I thinks is just half of the capacity and the D has little files stored in there. It says 309 GB of 319.
