Do you remember cracking open the shells of walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts, and various other types years ago? I sure do. It seemed like fun to bring down that hammer a time or two, it was a great way to relieve stress. I used to love cracking and eat those nuts one at a time. However, when it got to the point when my mother wanted a cup of shelled nuts for a recipe it stopped being as much fun. It turned into a chore. Finally we moved onto a nut cracker and it became easier. Then I, as an adult moved onto buying nuts already shelled. They cost more but it was so much easier and less time consuming. How many of you out there in myLot land still use a hammer? What about a nut cracker? Or are you like me taking the easy way out and buying the shelled nuts.

I love it too. My mother's teeth is so sharp that she used to break the nuts with them. But I was never able to.

Some of these chores are fun for a while but can quickly turn into a chore.

It's fun when you want to do it, not as much fun when you have to do.
