After a late start, I noticed that I hadn't gotten out the old Girlfinder yet this morning, so here goes. We are at #9: "Noticeable One" by Missing Persons.
Best known for their early 80's hits "Words," "Destination Unknown," and "Walking In L.A.," Los Angeles alternative rock band Missing Persons formed in 1980. The band's roots can be directly traced back to Frank Zappa, whom both quirky vocalist Dale Bozzio and drummer Terry Bozzio were working (the pair, now divorced, married shortly thereafter.) They met guitarist Warren Cuchurullo while all were working on Zappa's 1979 album, Joe's Garage, while keyboardist Patrick O'Hearn had previously been a member of Zappa's band.
The leadoff track from their 1982 gold record debut album, Spring Session M, "Noticeable One" was not released as a single, but a video was made, showing the band in a live setting. This song absolutely smokes, and is, frankly, my favorite by the band.
Dale Bozzio has kept the band going over the years, often reuniting with Cuchurullo (who spent a good amount of time in Duran Duran,) although now the group consists of her and multi-instrumentalist Billy Sherwood (who has played with everyone from Yes and Toto to Air Supply and even William Shatner!) Terry Bozzio, meanwhile, is an outstanding drummer, and in addition to various projects, often tours the country, holding drum clinics, and has been inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.
Yeah, I guess you could say that Missing Persons is a pretty good band!

@teamfreak16 I think some of them thought 'distract them with the costumes and dancing and it won't matter so much about the music'.
