Tuesday was my cooking day

I started the day loading photos onto my desktop from my cell phone and computer. I am always taking photos with one or the other. I often use them as inspiration for myLot posts. Anne went to Tai Chi, then came home about 10:30 AM fired up to get the website for her art quilts done. She spent the rest of the morning and afternoon until about 6 PM doing that, but took a break for lunch and to coach me on preparing broccoli and beef. Today, it will be a pork roast in the crock pot with potatoes and carrots, some white wine and lots of good seasonings. It turned out great, but just before it was ready to serve, I realized I had not cooked the rice to go with it,not a good kitchen oops at all. So we had it with bread and a salad. We will cook and add more vegetables AND some rice for a repeat tomorrow night. Have you ever completely forgotten a key ingredient or dish like I did with the rice? Old?? Who, me?

When Vince started cooking, he found it hard to coordinate the various bits and pieces and he often forgot one of the side dishes. He's pretty good now.

It is great that Anne has her own art quilts website ! She seems to devote most of her time to the art quilts.Considering you don't do the cooking on every day basis, you do a nice job on the meal.

You are not alone. I’ve often found prepared dishes in the refrigerator and in the oven after dinner parties. At least the oven was turned off. Unfortunately, I don’t cook often, and days later I found that dish in the oven. Ugh!

That sounds like a good save. Don't feel bad. I put chopped onions on the table tonight - and forgot to use them on my sloppy joe. doh

I am a forgetful person, so yeah, there are times that I forget 1 or two ingredients in my dish (even though I have done it many times before)
