Just seeing this caterpillar on the wall made me feel itchy. I didn't even get close to it or touch it. That's my mind playing tricks on me. It felt funny but weird!! Do you feel itchy just looking at itchy stuff?

@pitstop yes. I avoid staying under the tree without an umbrella because they will just fall into you.

Actually at times the itch is not psychological, we call them " higad" here or hairy caterpillars, part of the life cycle of butterflies, moths and other species of insecets. Those spikes are like tiny needles with an acid that is very irritating to the skin, I got victimized by that several times in our garden, and it could give you caterpillar dermatitis especially if it gets on your shirt and you don't notice it.

I didn't get anywhere near him. I've heard of people get reactions after contact.

@pitstop yes and I think they can leave hairs in clothes like what happened to my clothes in the clothes lone, it's very itchy and you get a burning painful sensation.

I don't like the look of that caterpillar. I think he might make you itch or even worse if you touched him.
