renal failure and banana

i ever read that people with renal failure are not allowed to consume banana. have ever heard that? banana is my favourite fruit. so far i dont have problem with my kidney, but my friend with kidney problem ever asked me whether he is allowed to eat banana or not.

Interesting question i have the same opinion as @Judy Evans. I don't think so it has direct effect. Only those intake medications need to be careful as the patients body is having difficulty to filter the excess waste out from the body. If this is too serious then they need to go for kidney dialysis to clean their blood. Correct me if I am wrong.
