Vacation Starts in the Dump

Physically, not emotionally. The missus and I took several items to the County Convenience Station this morning. Most of them were items Tiger had rendered beyond recovery during his last few weeks.
We did go out for brunch after our visit to the dump station and had a delicious meal at our favorite diner. Then my wife insisted we visit Tractor Supply Store next to the diner as she needed to pick up just a couple more gifts.
Now we are home. Despite all the housecleaning that went on yesterday during my missus first day of vacation, we did more cleaning today. Some of it was key to providing Son2 with his own room to stay in while he's home for the holiday.
After an intense cleaning of the walls and furniture with white vinegar, steam cleaning the carpet, and leaving a rag soaked in white vinegar in the room overnight, my missus has declared the room Tiger had as his own for so long sufficiently sanitized for Son2 to sleep in. He will still sleep on an air mattress as his old twin bed no longer had a mattress or box spring, but he won't have to sleep in the living room, which would have required deflating the mattress each morning and blowing it back up and remaking it every night.
It has been a busy day for us already and it's only quarter past noon. How is your Friday shaping up?

It sounds very sensible of you to go to the dump at get your house sorted out ready for 2019. Your son 2 will be happier in his room minus the tiger. I was able to take some old furniture to the dump and I had to go there twice as I had too much of it. I am planning up a home tidy before the new year. I have already chosen to move some furniture and throw out any things we don't need anymore.

I just sent a message to my youngest son to remind him when he sleeps in this house it is in the family room on a lower layer of my house and he and his love will be sleeping in the hide-a-bed. I mentioned it because the last time he as here he brought his own double air-mattress for the two of them and I wanted him remember how much they didn't like the hide a bed... When we bought this place the kids were off and on their own, So the two oldest get the spare bedrooms and the baby sleeps on a hide a bed...its tough being the youngest.....

My Friday is ok right now lol. I should have started my vacation today at 4 but on Monday they took my back tooth out and the doctor said I can't carry anything heavy for a week and since I work in the construction field, technically I started a bit early.

Our children are all up and away from home and when they occasionally come back to visit they sleep on the couch - they don't have a choice!
