"Is HE a GROOVY Grandpa?"

When I am on my way back home, I had noticed that the locals are busy something. As I checked it out, I was surprised that a grandpa is performing with his portable radio. There are so many reactions while watching him. For me, it is how he captured the attention of the local people and never feels shy about performing in a busy city. I wondered if my grandpa will be like him at present. Unfortunately, he died during my elementary days. The mere fact, he doesn't like me and my other siblings. For this matter, I don't have good memories with him. "Is your grandpa or grandma a groovy one?" "Are you close to your grandma or grandpa?"

I never knew one grandfather and my two grandmothers were quite serious and not very nice to me but the other grandfather was a lovely man and we had lots of fun together.

You are lucky to experience being with one of your grandpas. I mever had the same feeling though. If i had met, my mother’s father, it would be a good experience. I still have my granny and we always have hapoy moments despite being a hundred year old at present.

@LadyDuck It was nice to see elders enjoy their life to the fullest. I wish my granny still live longer and be with her for a long time. However, the evil relatives still kept her from us. She seems to like having a house arrest.

I was very close to my grandparents and great grandparents. They would never wiggle their body like that in public I think, however, I know that they were musicians, playing some string instruments and often performed now and then with their bands (one of their hobbies). That senior looks cute.

It is nice that they organized their own band. I do love seeing elders showcase their talents. My granny is a groovy one in the family. I find him adorable with his gestures.

@YrNemo She cannot use modern devices, my friend. At her age 100, she doesn't want to learn how to use them.

It is rare to have older citizen are having active lifestyle. It is good as this lifestyle can prevent them from Alzheimer, Parkinson and osteoporosis. Why your grandfather dislike your siblings and you? Is it relate to superstitious? My grandfather passed away when I was one or two year old. So, I do not have any memory on him. I only remember that my grandmother scolded me when I play water on her and the last moment I saw her was when my parents sent her to hospital for treatment. She seem to be conscious and nothing weird happened on her. My sibilings and I did not being informed nor visited her at the last moment. We only knew about it when my relative told us indirectly she is not there any more. Although, there is no much good memory form my grandfather and grandmother, but I do appreciate older people who take care of me.

It wasn't a superstitious thing, my friend. We don't have such practices. The only thing I knew is that he doesn't like me and the other siblings. I had some moments with him and tried to be close but to no avail. With such attempts, I never dared to know him better during my childhood years. Before my teen years, they moved to the USA.

@Shavkat It is a sad ending though. Even though he did not treat you well when you were young, you still miss him. You are such a nice person. Hope you will keep that small memory with you and forget about the bad one. Cheers.

My grandparents were from another country--didn't speak my language--my grandfather was a quiet man who stayed by himself but he worked hard to feed his 7 children and by the time he had grandchildren he was a tired old man. I never judged either of my 4 grandparents because their life was hard but they came through for their kids.

You have a story here. Based on your story, the life of my grandpa had the same pattern. He tried to raise his 9 children. It was a tough life during those days. However, he had shown his tender, loving, care to his other grandchildren and not us.

Unfortunately all my grandparents are all gone, and I did not even have the chance to be closed to them. I met my grandfather when I was like 16 years old and it was like nothing, what I felt for him was just respect, but not love. May all of them Rest In Peace. Regarding the goorvy grandpa he was just having fun dancing and being watched by the people around there! Thumbs up to his groovy vibes!

I think grandpa in this picture is a panhandler. In addition, he is with his grandson who collects the money while performing. For me, I think it is fine for them to do the act on the street. Besides, it is Christmas. Furthermore, I still have my paternal granny aged 100. With her age, she still strong and no serious illness. Do you want to live a hundred-year-old?

@Shavkat Hope they can make some good money from performing in the streets so they could feed themselves. Not at all, I think I will be happy if I make it until 70, no more. I don't wanna be an elder man being helped by others because I wouldn't be able to do stuff on my own. That is a little sad, and believe me I do not wanna experience that, what about you?

It is quite modern now. Someone is collecting the pennies directly to the audience. It is his grandson. A grandpa and grandson tandem performance.
