Which Free Anti Virus/ internet Security is better?

As we know most of us use Avast or Avira, now even Kaspersky have Free version. There might be others as well.
(I am using Win-7)
Can you suggest which one should I use?
Even a friend of mine (using Windows 10 OS) needs one; he was using QuickHeal till now.
SO what is your suggestion?

this is the best antivirus softwares.
i personally using bitdefender antivirus.

Several sites now recommend TotalAV. I don't have any experience of it myself (I am using Avast and find it suits me) but it appears to score well in several different sites I have seen.
