Yes, tonight was the night 43 years ago that I went on that blind date that my sister had set up or me. Have to admit, I wasn't sure about it, but since she was raving about him, and I didn't have any other plans... I agreed!
The minute I arrived at her apartment, she took me into the livingroom to introduce me... He looked soooo young lol. One thing that she didn't tell me was the fact that he was only 20 years old. I was 24 lol and I don't think that I had ever dated someone 4 years younger than myself. I hope that I was able to hide my surprise lol!
Okay... another wonky photo... don't ask me why!
But it was the British accent that won me over and we were married a year later, just before Christmas. We have been married for 42 years, had two great kids and now have one precocious little granddaughter who refers to him as Granddad Dog lol! It was from one of the TV shows that she watched and the name stuck!!
So, now you know... and I'm out of here... we have plans tonight!

Thanks a ton... he even corrected me on our anniversary this year. I told someone that it was next week and he said... no that it was tomorrow lol!

Congratulations! I also met my husband on a blind date and we've been married 52 years. Glad to hear yours worked out well too!

Well congrats on forty-two years of marriage. I've been married 30.8 and married a younger man too. He is six years younger, but we were older when we met so it didn't seem like as large of a span as it would have had we been in our twenties still.
I just noticed that you joined mylot a year or so before I got here and I'm thinking I've never run into you before, or if I have, it's not a whole lot. Maybe you're visiting my friends when my time is short and I don't have time to read much of their other responses.
I not only hate to iron, I don't iron and haven't for twenty years, other than using my bed as a surface when going to more formal events when a wrinkled outfit just won't do. And those times are very rare.
Oh, and what exactly is that wonky photo?
